Obama The Rockstar.....

Just found more two videos for my presidential choice this election.... He has changed the perception of a presidential candidate for a bunch of folks in this country. Its almost like cheering or routing for your favorite college and pro teams, but on a more tremendous level...

A Obama song/video on a Lil Wayne beat. Now tell me two more popular people then these two in America right now....

I Got Next.....

I really want to hoop with Obama and see what his game is like. He seems like a big trash talker on the low. Any way thought I would throw up another picture of Obama in something beside a suit to show us he is really one of us.....lol.

The remix to "Put On" is finally out and of course who know who is on it..... Jeezy grabbed Hov for this joint....

PUT ON REMIX - Young Jeezy feat Jay-Z

Let me know what you think of it... Did he kill it better then Yeezy????

YES WE CAN.......

Why Now??????

On The Real Imma Keep it 100..........

So like many other blacks in America, last night I watched CNN's report/special on Black America and I have to say it fell way short of my expectations. There were many times throughout the show where it seemed forced and failed to really talk about whats going on in Black America. This felt like a attempt from white America to try to educate white America more on black America. Since there is a high chance we will be having a black president for the next 4 years (god -willing), CNN seemed to try to capitalize on this historic year be showing us how it is to live black in America. The fact is the fear factor will sink in for millions of white Americans the closer and closer we get to the election day that the nation will actually not be lead by someone that looks like them. I felt this show was created out of the fear of the unknown and for most whites in America, black America is just that. Whites can never imagine what life would be like being black for a day yet alone a lifetime. Blacks still only make up 13% of America so why now do we get this special two part series????? The truth lies deeper then what we see. Of course I'm happy this is being aired but its seems to me that a lot of blacks are too excited to see how CNN depicts how they have been living their entire lives. If there is anything that can be taken from this show, you can see that there is no typical black person in America. However, there are typical stories and situations that all black people face regardless of class, region in America, religion, etc; they call all tell you about when they first realized that they were Black in America.

And that's that...........

A little bit of this, A little bit of that

So the more and more I listen to music that keeps coming out, I'm reminded of how good we used to really have it in hip-hop. As I listen to verse after verse its hard to really hear these mcs without having a bias ear for what made me fall in love with her in the first place. So to those out there who still listen to lyrics and let the beats enhance the songs not carry them let me know what ur favorite verse of all time is. I know if you are like me this is a damn near impossible feat but give it a chance really think what verse would want to hear last if you found out you were going deaf tomorrow.

On another note tonight at 9 on CNN there will be a great piece on being black in America. It is a two part series with tonight focusing on The Black Family and Women and tomorrow focusing solely on the Black man in America. I will really can't wait to see how CNN will spin this special. Seeing that I have been black in America my whole life, I really hope they do a good job and don't disgrace my people. Knowing that there is no true definition of a black American, there will be a great injustice done if all aspects of our lives here in America don't get showed.

Oh yeah my man Joe Buddens has just dropped a 3 part song called "Who". If you have a spare 15 mins or so to listen to a well put together song, this is definitely one to peep.

You Knew This Was Coming....

Nas told yall to watch what you watch and what you read. The New Yorker is the most recent publication to take a shot at the Democratic nominee. Over the years people have said that pictures say a thousand words, and I think this one might say more then that. This picture is the actual fears of many Americans who will be going out to vote this November. The New Yorker knew exactly what it was doing giving a image to go along with the thoughts of these miseducated Americans. Its sad that a leading publication like the New Yorker has to stoop to this level to try to get their magazine read and heard about. Capitalizing on the already incorrect notions only adds fire to a once burning out flame. The ironic thing is that the article is actually a nice piece on the Obama's, but you will never get to hear about it because the magazine decided to use this tasteless "satire" to stir up controversy.

He's Really Gonna Piss Them Off This Time....

Nas has a new video out for his song "sly fox" off hit latest Album "untitled"aka "Nigger". Its a great song and video in my opinion. This song/video reminds me of early hip-hop, where MCs questioned the establishment and pointed out their faults. For years I have not been able to watch Fox news because of the bias reports they constantly put on the air. They seem to always take such a far right-wing stance on every topic. Like Nas said in the song you have to watch what you watching because they often sneak a lot of hidden stuff in titles and headlines or even the pictures and clips they show.

Jazmine Sullivan and Missy Elliot "Need U Bad"

On the real G imma keep it 100,

I really thought this was a old/new song by Ms. Hill-Marley that had been kept on the hush for a while. Boy was I wrong. Jazmine really did her thing on this song. Its great to hear a new soulful voice in R&B. This is indefinably a summer joint for years to come. The Philly native has an album coming out later on J records...

And thats that....

Old Skool vs New School

Today while you are out riding around in this good weather, take out that Carter 3 and what ever else you have been bumping these days and pop in anything you have Pre-Biggie's death. You know the classic joints that made you want to listen to rap in the first place. All the tunes that had you wanting to make your own songs with your boys. The songs that had you writing in your note book and keeping it as close to you as your brush in your back pocket. Real hip-hop not this water shit that we get forced down our throats.

My Old school is different then what yours might be. Make sure tho its before Biggie died because that ushered in a different area in rap music. Ok I got one song that i couldn't keep off that came out a year later. Here is a list of a couple that i got to hear today while I'm out and about...

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth - They Reminisce Over You

Arrested Development - Everyday People

Will Smith - DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince - Summertime

A Tribe called quest - check the rhime

Camp Lo - Lucini

Notorious BIG - Juicy

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But A G Thang

LL Cool J - Around The Way Girl

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony- First of the Month

Naughty By Nature O.P.P.

Ahmad - Back in the Day

Common - I Used To Love H.E.R

Ice Cube-Today Was A Good Day

Skee-Lo - I Wish

Warren G - Regulate

Digital Underground - The Humpty Dance

Agent Zero ain't going NO WHERE....

Gilbert is resigning with the home team for a reported 111 million dollars over the next six years. This is almost 17 million less then he could had gotten in a max deal from the Wizards. Gil's comment to taking less money was "What can I do for my family with $127 million that I can't do with $111 million?". What a typical Arenas answer. Well now we get a couple more years to see plays like this........

Gil giving my Lakers 60pts...

And what about the game winners.....

Got to get free.... July 4th aka Independence Day

So tomorrow will be another anniversary of Americas independence. Many of us will be at cookouts and parties all day never once really thinking about what the 4th of July really is. It was the birth of the most powerful democracy in modern times which happened to be built on slave labor. A democracy where many of our ancestors who were here, couldn't get away with even a percentage of the things we get away with today in society. As much as I love America and all it has done for me and my family, every forth of July I'm reminded of all the injustice this country has had over the years and still has now. For many people who look like me, the colors red, white, and blue reminds them more about police brutality and racial profiling then America or its flag. The blue is for the uniform of the cops that harass and treat them as second class citizens. The red is for the blood that spills out every time we are wrongfully shot, beat, or even killed because we fit some dumd ass profile. And the white you already know what that's stands for.

We all know the story of how the new Americans fought together to get freedom from England for self rule, But have have you ever stopped to look at the actual facts? They left England, came to another already inhabited land and took it as if it was never walked upon because of what ever they were facing in Europe. Killed the natives, stole some black folks to build and take care of the land , and established the most powerful nation in the world. Its ironic that the same freedom they were fighting for was the same freedom they helped European nations take away from African and South American civilizations. When America became free on July 4th 1776, people who had any resemblance to me were anything but free. Blacks would spend more then the next 90 years trying to be become free in America. Even with the end of slavery due to the civil war, blacks were far from equal to whites. Many people think that race was only a problem in the south but you would be highly mistaken. Segregation was just the next step in the master plan of America for blacks. They never intended for us to be here and if we had to stay, we were never to feel welcomed.

For many of us, we are still not free. Its one thing to be free and then it’s another to have freedom. A lot of us thing we are free (and in many aspects of life we are here in America) but we still do not have freedom. When I say freedom I mean it’s in the sense that many black folks have been in the same predicament as they were generations ago and don't have the freedom to change it. Living paycheck to paycheck just to pay on over due bills doesn’t seem like much freedom to me. Is there freedom of upward mobility???? For a few, but for most that is only a dream or wish which usually gets pasted to the next generation to try to achieve.

There are still two Americas in the country even if we don't want to believe it. So when you are out doing what ever you are doing tomorrow, take a second out and think about what America are you living in and are apart of.

This song by Trick Daddy.... Yesssss Trick Daddy, is one that expresses how it still is to be BLACK in America

Food for thought....

Take a look at a email i got last night (thanks SueKizzi) .... Its pretty self explanatory

In just 30 minutes a day working from home, I can show you how to make
your dreams of being poor a reality!

How would you like to be financially dependent? Imagine how good it
would feel to not be your own boss!

Our system for eliminating wealth is guaranteed to work, or your money
back... but why would you want it back? Our program is simple, easy to
learn, and if you don't get poor quick, we'll buy it back from you.

People just like you are making their dreams of incredible poverty a
reality... why not see for yourself?

How It Works

Our ten-step program will show you time-tested methods of not building
wealth. Here's an overview:

1. Never save.

Because, you've never had enough income to live the way you want to,
anyways! So enjoy it while you can. If you want something, buy it
immediately. You'll feel a lot better once you do.

2. Keep up with the Joneses.

In order to be successful at not building wealth, maintaining your
image is a must. Invest in a luxury car, and expensive clothing. You
need the world to know that you're spending money! If someone you know
buys something new, that's a sign that you should too!

3. Business can wait.

Whenever possible, wait until the last minute to plan financially. Pay
your bills as late as possible. Banks and other institutions will be
glad to help - overdraft charges, late fees, and interest will get you
right on track to your goal of financial instability.

4. Learn to enjoy leisure time more.

Life is stressful. Instead of dealing with it, find creative ways to
distract yourself. Video games and TV are great for that! Spend at
least 2-3 hours daily watching TV or playing games.

5. Pick up addictive habits.

There are great, fun habits that can help you spend money without even
thinking about it. When you're spending at least $50 a week on liquor,
weed, or cigarettes, you'll know you're on the right track. Make sure
your friends do it too!

6. Don't educate yourself.

When you educate yourself, you may start thinking some of these
activities don't seem to make sense. Don't fall into that trap! Read
as little as possible, especially when it comes to news and politics.

7. Be cool at all times.

Remember, you have an image to keep. To be successful, look to BET and
MTV for role models. Then, imitate what you see. It's how to prove
you're keepin' it real!

8. Never take responsibility.

Whenever something in life goes wrong, remember that there is someone
else who's probably trying to make it that way. It's their fault. All
you're trying to do is survive. So don't worry about trying to change
your life. It probably wouldn't work anyways.

9. Don't keep your word.

This is the mark of a true low roller. You've got to learn how to fit
in. Always be late, at least 20 minutes late for everything. Never
promise anything, and if you do, make sure not to follow through. It's
great for keeping away people who want to take advantage of your lack
of success.

10. Dumb yourself down.

This is the absolute best way to live the poor lifestyle you've always
wanted. Whenever you speak, make it a point to "be hard". Speak as
clumsily and poorly as possible. Preferably while complaining about
how few opportunities you have. This will really win over friends in
your new broke lifestyle. Avoid anything that makes you appear
intelligent - they'll think you're trying to be better than them!

Imagine your new life... the freedom to do what someone else wants you
to do, the satisfaction of not being your own boss. It can all be
yours!

Order our 10 CD series, How To Be Poor, and receive a free bonus gift,
"The Wealth Eliminating Toolkit". The Toolkit connects you to a
network of cash wasters that can preserve your brokeness for
generations to come!

You could be living the life you've never dreamed of. What are you
waiting for... call now!

When I read this all I could think about was the Lupe song "dumb it down"

Damn where has time gone....

On the real G imma keep it 100.....

So I was just playing with the Youtube on my iPhone and and started watching the old Nas and Lboggie( thats when she was GUCCCI) joint "If I ruled the world" and it dawned on me that I'm getting old quick as hell. Its funny cuz me and my boy Jeff always send songs to each on aim and be like "remember when that came out???" For what ever reason when I went out today that song kept playing over and over in my head. It felt like it was the summer '96 all over again. I realized when I pulled the cd out that it came half my life ago...

This will always be a classic summer joint

This was soooo summer of '96.... Jay and Foxy... Classic

So i just saw the new Kayne Nikes (Nike Air Yeezy)and I'm kinda torn about them. I want to like them cuz they look tough, kinda like the spikes that have been coming out by Jordan. But I cant see myself wearing a rapper's shoe (sorry Jay never did get those Sdots). These joints look like you can do a lot with them but can I really go around with some Kanye kicks on my feet????? I guess I'll have to wait for them to drop and try them on to make a final decision....

And thats that.....

The Genesis

Hello World (In that Pharrell voice on The Clipse joint). This is my first of hopefully many posts on here. Just left another day of therapy for my leg. Its finally coming along like i have been waiting for it to. I can put pressure on it and stand pretty well. I keep hearing everyone talk about going to this place and coming back from this place and all its doing is making me even more irritated about being on these crutches. And now with facebook I see ALL the fun everyone is having out on 2 damn feet....lol

While getting my stem and heat tho I was listening to new tracks from the Nas Album(the album formerly know as NIGGER) and I'm convinced its gonna be the best album of the year. Nas has did it again with this album and I can't wait to actually go buy it. He has finally made the album that i have been waiting for him to make.

On another note I want to give a bigups to the Williams Sisters out in England doing their thing once again on the courts. Special bigups to Common for snatching up Serena... That's def a good look right now. Wish that album(Invisible Summer) was still dropping this month.
