WOW...that was without a doubt the MOST DISTURBING nine minutes of my life. I cannot believe Buchanan made such ignorant statements! And all those "technical difficulties" were a load of crap. They knew Dyson was about to go in and TELL THE TRUTH and as usual they had to cut a brother off just like they did when Kanye said "Geeorge Bush doesn't care about black people" on national television. So let me get this straight...It's perfectly ok for Buchanan to Bash the black community but Dyson can't tell the OBVIOUS TRUTHS about what white america has done to black americans?!
I hate how white america pics and chooses which parts of history they try to make the world remember (ie. "american history" books and the news) to make themselves sound so "great". However failing to ever aknowledge that they robbed this land infecting it with their diseases, abusing and raping the same innocent women and children that in modern day society they would treat as an object or thing unfit for being loved or cared about.
It is really dissapointing that Buchanan did not even directly answer any of the questions that were directed to him! It was equally dissapointing to hear him say that America is the best place for Africans as though the Europeans who were not natives of this land either did us a favor by bringing us over here in captivity! STEALING us from the same land from which THEIR european forefathers came to study at the feet of OUR professors. Buchanan just sounded so IGNORANT and blatantly RACIST for all the comments that he made.
And you know what else. Those so called "technical difficulties" just enhanced the point that was being made about Americans being cowards. Buchanan was clearly a coward for not even addressing any of the questions that were presented to him. Furthermore his accusatory finger pointing at the black community was such a low blow when WE know we have issues in our community, but it's not like these issues came out of nowhere! When situations occur such as the governments implementation of "project housing", how else would you expect ANY group of people to handle beng minimized to such oppressive enviromnents!
the reason why we never have an open and illuminating conversation about race, is because of fear and white guilt. point blank.
dropping (debatable) statistics about the shit we are "blaming" on them instead of admitting to their end of the equation is classic. this automatic defensiveness is so telling, and we're not gonna get anywhere as long as everyone wants to play the "see no evil" game. GTFOH. this is EXACTLY the cowardice dude was referring to. i don't reason with fools...waste of time. people need to start coming correct.

i've just watched this with my roommate, and will be back with my stance, and he'll comment too.

That is all...for now
