Today In Black History......

Today in 1964, Dr. Martin L. King, Jr was announced as the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for his civil rights activities. King was the second African American to win the Peace Prize. At the time he was the youngest person to ever receive the award.

On this date in 1966, the Black Panther Party (BPP) was founded. It was a black political organization; originally known as the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. The BPP originated in Oakland, California, by founders, Huey Newton, and Bobby Seale.

The Time Is Now....

On the real G Imma keep it 100......

With the most important Presidential election in our lifetime just a little over a month away, I hope everyone who has the availability to register to vote goes out and does so as soon as possible. You have the right to, so use it when you can. Many people were beat, abused, and even killed so that we would be able to take part in this historic election this year. If you think your votes don't count just look at the last two elections and how close they were. How often do we get to be a part of history????? This one day of voting can change the next 4 to 8 years of our lives in a major way. I really don't care who you vote for as long as you make sure your voice and opinion gets heard. Just make sure before you vote you know why you are voting for the candidate you choose.

Well here goes a little endorsement of my Choice....

And thats that...............

You Can' Blame The Youth, You Can't Fool The Youth...

On The Real, Imma Keep 100....

Mr. Marley is one of my favorite 3 musicians of all-time. Just felt like sharing a song/video from the original Wailers, back when they had Peter Tosh and Bunny. The message in this song is as true today as it was when it was written. The problems still exist today, just in different forms. Don't let television or your required reading books for school be your only sources of knowledge. Read to gain knowledge for yourself and for better understanding. Don't be a puppet for the politicians this election year. Stand up and be heard this time around. Think outside the box especially if your box is small and narrow. Bob stood for so many things to many people, but above all he stood for freedom and righteousness and he used his music to get his message across to the masses.....

P.S....... Pep the columbus referrence in the song..... Ironic today is columbus day.... what a crook he was, and we tricked into celebrating this guy.... what a f-ing joke

And That's That....

The Master of The Sample

I know some people might think he samples too much but he is damn good at it. He can honestly say he has turned hot lines(and sometimes just sounds) into hot songs. Here's your boy at work making another track...

A great playlist of original songs and the songs he used the samples in....

UPDATE: The Air Yeezy's are dropping very soon. Word is they are being released around the same time as 808's and Heartbreak. Here is a pic of the version that might be released.

On the real lets keep it 100....

Andre 300 is the real king of the south.... NO offense Scarface and sorry T.I., but this guy is that shit forreal.... Now back to my post..

Jay-Z, Nas, and Andre 3000 play musical chairs in my top MC spot on a new track to track (sometimes even verse to verse) basis. Each time I get a new track from anyone of them, they usually fill the spot of my favorite until someone comes out with a new song or verse. So far this year I already got my Nas fix with "Untitled"( aka Nigger ), so I'm waiting for Jigga and 3 Stacks to both come out with solo projects. We found out earlier this week that Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 will be coming out Dec 2 according to the man himself. Still no word on the album title or the date for Andre's tho. Big Boi's solo album is slated to drop pretty soon so hopefully Andre's will not be far behind. Word is out that on Jay-Z's album we will get the first ever track with Jay, Nas, and Dre with the Swagger Like Us part 2 which will also feature Young Jeezy. I will definitely be bringing in the new year rocking to this joint.

Here's a couple of Andre 3000 video mixes via Youtube.... Enjoy

Words from the soul...

A little something I wrote about relationships, from casual to serious ones. A examination of them and how they often go. I said something to a friend one day that everybody uses everybody and she looked at me crazy but in fact everybody does. Its reality, because on a daily bases you are trying to use somebody while someone else is using you. Weather positive or negative, you are still the used and the user in one form or another...

Round and Around We Go

The games that we play
The names that we say
Make the world go around every single day
Each actor, becoming a factor, in every single way
The distractions, that cause fractions, leading to life changing actions
Cracks that turn into leaks in the matter of weeks
Glares and stares make you realize nothing is truly as it appears
The truth still comes out flowing like water from facets
Building bodies from all the bones coming out the closets
Ghosts from the past finally came back at last
Face to face with the reality that your reality is not real at all
What was once unclear, now has you stuck here, with your hands up in the air
Because your daydreams became your reality and your reality became your nightmare
But this to shall pass over like so many other things that you used to hold so dare
And once again this same game we will play
Speaking out, this same name you will say
Making the world go around day after day
Wondering what role this new character will play in this play we call life.
